Individual and Couples Counselling Services
Hello, I’m Toni Clark and in this section I will tell you a little about me, where I’m based, how I work and how I will help you.
I have been a Certified Counselling Professional working in mental health organisations, schools and in private practice since 2014.
I work from a Person-Centred approach and offer a bespoke counselling experience to support you in your counselling journey.
I am passionate and take great care and pride in the progress and success of my clients and look forward to working with you.
I hold qualifications in Counselling and I am registered and regulated member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapist). I have qualifications in, Couples therapy, Mindfulness, Meditation, Yoga, Deep
relaxation and Emotional Well Being techniques.
My practice is based on the outskirts of Dartford within easy reach from Bexley/Crayford/Dartford/Greenhithe areas. The building is directly on the 'fast track' bus route which stops opposite the building and links to Greenhithe, Gravesend, Bluewater, and Dartford town. There is also free adequate parking
here.
My office is on the ground floor and has disabled access and disabled facilities provided in the building to.
I offer, in person and online Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Individual sessions are £55, 50 minutes.
Couples sessions are £75 - £90, 1 hr - 1hr 30 minutes.
My training is in a Humanistic Person-Centred Approach to counselling, and I work in a Relational Way. This means that I believe that the relationship between the counsellor and the client is the key to healing and that everyone is unique, so I work in a way that suits you and will adapt to your needs.
My role as a counsellor is to be someone neutral, who will listen to you without preconceptions and will not be influenced by anything outside of what you bring to the sessions. You can choose what you reveal, and when.
The kind of issues clients bring covers a wide range.
Anxiety, depression, and relationship issues of any description are often reasons to come to counselling.
You may feel sad, have feelings of low self-esteem or lack of self-confidence.
Perhaps you are struggling with feelings of anger, shame, or loneliness.
You may be experiencing relationship difficulties.
You may have experienced loss, perhaps for a person, job, place or role in life.
Counselling offers a way understand and come to terms with bereavements.
You may feel overwhelmed by your emotions and the pressures of life or you may find it difficult to experience or express any feelings at all.
Counselling can also help you explore wider issues, such as finding your place in the world, deciding which path to take in life and give you support while you go through a time of difficult change.
It can be used to help you understand and accept questions that may have arisen in your life around areas of sexuality, your cultural experience, religion or spirituality.

I understand that it takes courage to take the first step into counselling and that it is important to feel comfortable with your counsellor. Therefore, I offer a free 'no-obligation' consultation.
A Consultation is an informal online meeting, pre arranged at a mutual time.
It is an opportunity for you to find out if counselling with me is right for you. We will talk about what has brought you to look at counselling, what you want to achieve and go through any questions you may have. This usually takes about 20 minutes.
If you would like any further information or would like to book in, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I offer a comfortable environment that is safe, quiet and calm. In our sessions together you will find me to be an open, thoughtful, and reflective person who works with compassion, empathy and humour. I am genuinely interested in what you have to say and understand how hard it is to find the words at time and will work to put you at ease.
I have a working experience that spans many spectrums of people with differing world views: physical, cultural, gender and neuro diverse backgrounds.
I have experience and understanding of neuro diversity and the link to mental health and wellbeing issues; anxiety/depression/self-esteem/identity and the stresses these bring and how they can affect your world.
Our bodies speak our minds.
I am also enthusiastic about you as a whole, so your body matters too; It is often the first thing that starts to let us know when we are struggling: sleep, libido, tense muscles, headache, poor concentration, fatigue to name but a few.
This is why, along with Counselling it can be helpful to explore and incorporate:
. Anatomy & physiology - how our physical body works.
. Energy based practices - the value of meditation and intuition.
. Areas of neurology - how our emotional mind behaves on a biological level.
. Neuro- diversity - how our brain structures work and affect us in everyday life.
Understanding how our mind and body systems work together brings a library of knowledge that adds strategies, skills to help reduce factors that cause emotional stress and develops awareness of how to your emotional health and wellbeing is linked to our mental health. It also helps in providing a safe scaffold around your emotional world, allowing you to feel more in control of some difficult feelings.
Changing or helping one part will connect and help healing in an another.
